Terms of Use for Macroni

These terms cover your use of the Macroni app ("Macroni", "the app", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Macroni.

1. What Macroni is

Macroni is a free app for tracking daily calories and macronutrients, made and run by an independent developer.

2. Not medical advice

Macroni helps you record and see your own numbers. It is not medical, dietary, or health advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional. Calorie and macro figures, targets, and food data are general information only. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about your diet or health, especially if you have a medical condition or an eating disorder.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity that happens under your account. Macroni is intended for people aged 16 and over.

4. The app is provided as is

Macroni is offered "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any data will be preserved.

5. Your data and backups

You can export all your data at any time from Settings, and you can delete your account and its data from within the app. Please keep your own copy of anything important. We take reasonable care of your data and make backups, but we cannot guarantee against loss. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost data, or for any loss or damage that results from using, or being unable to use, the app.

6. Food information

Some nutrition data comes from Open Food Facts, a public database maintained by a community, so it may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always check anything that matters to you, particularly if you have allergies, intolerances, or specific medical needs.

7. Using Macroni fairly

Please do not misuse the service. That includes trying to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to it, accessing other people's data, or using the app to break the law.

8. Changes

We may update, pause, or discontinue Macroni or these terms. When these terms change, we will update the date above. If you keep using the app after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.
